Animals may have regional accents

I saw the headline, and I couldn't help reading it: "Bearded Seals Have Regional Accents". Here's the lovely quote that I giggled at (mainly because I have a weird sense of humor and because I'm going crazy from school work):
The vocalizations of this seal are so different that an individual from Alaska may have trouble understanding a male of the same species from Canada.

Immediately what I thought was that of course a seal from Alaska is going to have a difficult time understanding one from Canada: 'dem Canadians talk funny 'der, eh?

Interesting article that I encourage everyone to read. If nothing else, you can continue to ponder why I think it is funny.
